Criterica Group is a Splitifi company. Splitifi, the legal data science platform founded in 2023, launches Criterica Group as the institutional identity under which its regulated outcomes platform engages institutional counterparties. The launch gives the platform a structure that separates two functions that had previously operated under a single identity: the governance, capital formation, and strategic layer, and the data and model infrastructure layer that does the underlying technical work. That separation is not cosmetic — it reflects how institutional buyers, from law firms to litigation finance funds to insurance carriers, actually need to engage with a data science platform serving regulated outcome markets.

Under this structure, Criterica Group carries governance standards, capital formation activity, and the strategic direction of the platform across every market it serves, as a Splitifi company. Criterica Intelligence operates as the division that builds and maintains the data and model infrastructure — the outcome models, the underlying court-record corpus, and the validation discipline that makes the model outputs trustworthy to an institutional buyer.

The rationale for the split is straightforward: an institution evaluating whether to build a strategic relationship, pursue a capital transaction, or engage on governance terms with Criterica is asking a different set of questions than an institution evaluating whether Criterica's outcome models are calibrated and fit for its own book. Housing both conversations under one identity made it harder for either counterparty to get a clean answer. Structuring Group and Intelligence as institutional identity and operating division lets each conversation happen on its own terms, with its own points of contact, while keeping both functions part of one coherent Splitifi platform.

Criterica Intelligence continues to serve the same institutional markets it always has — law firms, litigation finance funds, insurance carriers, and enterprise legal departments — with the same model infrastructure and data discipline. What changes is where governance, capital, and strategic decisions are made and disclosed: at the Group level, visible to institutional counterparties who need that layer, rather than folded invisibly into the operating division's day-to-day work.

This structure is also built to extend. As Criterica adds capabilities and, in time, additional operating divisions beyond Intelligence, the Group layer is the fixed point institutional counterparties can rely on for governance and strategic continuity, regardless of how the operating divisions evolve. Institutional buyers, partners, and prospective counterparties with questions about how Splitifi, the Group, and Intelligence relate can reach the Group team directly through the contact page.

"A platform serving regulated outcome markets needs a governance layer that institutional counterparties can evaluate on its own terms, separate from the technical infrastructure doing the modeling work. That separation is the entire reason Criterica Group exists."
